Foster Care

Since 1990, 180 Degrees' Foster Care program has provided 24/7/365 support to foster families in Olmsted and surrounding southeast Minnesota counties.

Each foster family is provided with:
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • Education and training
  • A match of each child with the strengths of each foster family
  • Supportive relationships
  • 24/7 support from the foster care program manager

Choose the right path for you

You make the final decision about who you bring into your home and family. To help with this decision, we offer three different ways in which to serve as a foster family:
  • Foster families give stability by providing a home for children ages 0 – 21.
  • Respite foster families maintain stability by offering short-term care when long-term foster families need to travel out of town.
  • Emergency foster families provide stability when emergency, short-term placement is needed.

180 Degrees' Foster Care Program is licensed under the Department of Human Services. All potential foster families undergo a criminal background check.

Help a child. Transform your life...and theirs.
