180 Degrees operates a variety of programs and services dedicated to turning lives around. Our mission is: 180 Degrees, a multi-cultural organization, provides comprehensive, culturally specific services that empower our clients to improve their lives by making positive choices resulting in healthier individuals, stronger families and safer communities. We provide residential programs, life skills enrichment, resiliency mentoring, educational engagement, supportive accountability programs and therapeutic mental health services for youth, adults and families in Minnesota. 180 Degrees, Inc. was incorporated in 1971. We are a 501(c)(3) organization that is led by a 11-member, multidisciplinary board of directors. Our revenue is generated almost entirely through operations, less than 10 percent is received through fundraising. Richard Gardell was appointed as 180 Degrees’ chief executive officer in 2006. 180 Degrees’ 2011 revenues were $4,365,172, based on our Consolidated Financial Statement. We currently operate in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Rochester, Albert Lea, St. Cloud, Mankato and surrounding communities. 180 Degrees employs approximately 85 individuals and serves more than 1,900 clients per year.
